Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator-Embedded Academic Support for Learning Centers. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Academic Support Programs, the Senior Program Coordinator works in close partnership with other Senior Program Coordinators and program staff to co-manage and enhance the Learning Assistant Program and other academic support initiatives integrated into course curricula.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Fosters a team-oriented approach to large-scale recruitment, hiring, and training of 300-500 peer leaders annually, ensuring that processes and policies are developed and implemented collaboratively.
  • Engages in mentoring and professional development for peer leaders, while working with colleagues to maintain accurate payroll and personnel records.
  • Contributes to program evaluation and strategic planning through shared decision-making and collective problem-solving across multiple campuses and schools, promoting consistency and innovation in program operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in academic support or program coordination.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office and data management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education or STEM discipline.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS, website content management, and payroll systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
