Job Summary

LCPL is seeking an innovative, visionary, passionate, and community-minded leader for the Division Manager for Programming and Community Engagement position. This senior management role reports directly to the Deputy Library Director and provides strategic leadership for the library system's programming and community engagement efforts. As a vital member of the Library's Senior Leadership Team, this position is instrumental in driving the overall success of the library system. The successful candidate will serve as a passionate advocate for both the Library and the diverse community it serves, ensuring that programs and services align with community needs and organizational goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assess, interpret, and anticipate community needs to develop strategies, programs, and services that effectively address those needs.
- Oversee the implementation, management, and evaluation of all library programs to ensure quality and impact.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong community partnerships with other organizations and groups in the community.
- Manage outreach services to underserved populations, expanding accessibility and engagement.
- Play a pivotal role in measuring the effectiveness and impact of library programs while continuously seeking innovative approaches to improve program delivery.
- Develop a sustainable growth strategy that enhances the quality, appeal, and reach of library programs over time.
- Represent the Library in collaboration with external agencies, organizations, and community groups to increase awareness and engagement.
- Oversee the preparation and administration of the Division's budget, including forecasting staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies needs, while monitoring expenditures.
- Seek out grant opportunities and manage submissions to expand resources that support library programs and community initiatives.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Masters degree in Business, Public Administration or Library Services related area and four (4) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience including three (3) years in a supervisory or management role preferably in a government setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing programs and community engagement initiatives is strongly preferred. Experience in administering budgets and grant writing is preferred.
