What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal site-specific procedures, access control expectations, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, athletic areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and suspicious activity, and notify school administrators and/or public responders as needed.
  • Monitor and document visitor entry, deliveries, and contractor activity in accordance with location policies, and assist with directing foot traffic during arrival, dismissal, and events.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
