As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe activity, document concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected shoplifting, medical situations, and property damage.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, receiving docks, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter theft and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, and assist with access control by observing for suspicious behavior and reporting concerns according to post orders.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate issues to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support loss prevention and closing or opening procedures as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
