This position's main task is to make sure the lab is kept stocked with media, buffers, and lab supplies that are critical for successful experiments and smooth operation of the lab. These tasks are outlined in basic protocols. The lab assistant must be able to work independently with general supervision from lab members. It is expected that they show up to work at the scheduled time and must be extremely reliable. A strong attention to detail is required. In addition the lab assistant must be aware of the presence of hazardous materials and follow all safety requirements. Hours range from 10-12 hours per week and are flexible. Must have blocks of 4 hours available during the M-F workweek at least 2 times per week. Students cannot work weekends. 75% Media Preparation and pouring plates Qualifications
REQUIRED: At least two semesters of college level coursework in the Biological Sciences or Chemistry. Must have work study funds. Looking for an individual who is highly organized and able to follow outlined protocols. Working Conditions: Research lab in the NHH Pay and Benefits
