Description

The Digital Modernization Sector within Leidos has an opening for a Project Manager for the GIG Service Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at Fort Meade, MD.

The GSM-O contract scope includes Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

The Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple, simultaneous projects within the GSM-O II contract supporting DISA. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, driving delivery of high-quality results for DISA and its Mission Partners.

While primarily hybrid, this position requires the ability to report on-site as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Assist with the development of proposals for new project scope as well as the continuation/expansion of existing project scope.
  • Define and document project team roles, responsibilities, and authorities, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project operations, communications, and reporting for the Senior Program Manager and Integration Services Manager.
  • Monitor and follow up on project action items, ensuring timely completion and communication of progress.
  • Identify and assist with resolution of project-related risks/issues and dependencies/obstacles in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support process improvements, including identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to streamline project execution.
  • Oversee and manage project artifacts, documentation, and deliverables, including CDRLs, reports, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, dependencies, risks, and delays.
  • Support project budget management and financial tracking to ensure compliance with commitments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and leadership.
  • Ensure project tasks are completed in compliance with company and customer policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support staffing actions, onboarding, and coordination with managers on staffing plans and approval of timesheets and expense reports.
  • Compile and generate data for presentations and status updates using project management tools and Microsoft Office suite.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and management abilities
  • Project Management experience including managing multiple projects in parallel
  • MS Project experience
  • Expertise in identifying areas of improvement, critical dependencies, and process changes that enable the Government to attain integrated outcomes that are effective, efficient, sustainable, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple technical and operational teams to achieve the necessary program, project or activity plans, and schedules while maintaining within budget guidelines.
  • Experience in assigning tasks to contractor personnel that are located in multiple time zones, supervising on-going technical efforts, and managing contract performance on new task orders and projects identified by the customer.

  • Operational Engineering knowledge/experience
