Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Security Governance and Oversight, will support RBC's US CISO organization in leading strategic efforts to comply with governmental and other regulatory mandates as well as identify and adopt security and governance best practices.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and prepare executive, Board, and regulatory-facing materials, including strategic roadmaps, program status updates, regulatory commitments, and remediation progress.
  • Act as the central coordination point between US CIO Stakeholder Management, Global Security, cyber-adjacent service domains, and Global Strategic Services teams.
  • Support annual and quarterly priority-setting processes, aligning regional cybersecurity initiatives with Enterprise, CIO, and Global Security strategies.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable program goals, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Oversee program design and implementation of security programs and roadmaps, monitoring milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalation items.
  • Develop and maintain standards, programs and processes for validating against requirements and ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations.
  • Identify and address potential areas of vulnerability and risk, developing resolution plans and preventive measures.
  • Conduct investigation activities on complex compliance issues and propose potential solutions.
  • Provide project management and business consultancy support, including process assessments, design, and improvement initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree, or equivalent combination of education and cyber security, governance, or PMO support experience
  • 7+ years of experience creating and operationalizing new processes, strategic planning, and operating rhythm
  • Expertise in augmenting governance frameworks or processes to improve efficiency, transparency, or decision-making within the supported program
  • Demonstrated success interfacing with executive leadership and presenting insights and recommendations
  • Prior experience working within a regulated environment

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with US Regulatory requirements, supporting regulatory examinations or audits
  • Proficiency in banking regulations (GBLA, NYDFS, etc.)

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $120,00 to $200,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements that comprise our total compensation package, which includes the following: commission sharing eligibility for select roles, a discretionary bonus, a paid time-off plan, our 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, and our health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
