Employment Type: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire
Overview:

Are you an experienced leader in the Travel or Airline industry with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams?

Our client, a well-established and globally recognized 5-star international airline, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Corporate Sales team. This role is designed for a strategic people leader who has overseen sales organizations, driven team performance, and elevated overall departmental results - rather than serving primarily as an individual contributor.

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a corporate sales team across the Americas region, setting clear performance objectives, coaching and mentoring direct reports, and ensuring revenue targets are achieved through effective team management and strategic direction. This position plays a key role in strengthening organizational capability, optimizing sales structures, and overseeing the deployment of sales staff to support regional branch initiatives as needed.

The ideal candidate brings solid managerial experience within the travel or airline sector, including direct supervision of team members, performance management, and measurable improvements in team productivity and revenue outcomes. Hands-on individual sales production is not the primary focus; instead, this role requires a leader who can manage, guide, and elevate an entire function.

Essential Duties include but not are limited to:
Strategic Planning: Support the development of yearly sales plans and strategies, including budget allocation.
Performance Analytics and Management: Oversee the goal-setting process for subordinate staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide necessary feedback and coaching.
Team Leadership: Direct and manage the sales team, including organizing team structure, staffing, hiring, training, and fostering professional development.
Regional Support Leadership: Act as the primary lead for the regional support function by vetting requests for personnel assistance from branch offices and directing the efficient dispatch of sales personnel to fill temporary staffing gaps.
Reporting: Manage sales performance and budgets, providing timely updates and status reports to Senior Management.
Market Intelligence: Maintain continuous awareness of industry and market trends to enhance the organization's competitive position and proactively implement countermeasures.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners; collaborate closely to ensure strategic alignment and maximize revenue.
Contract Negotiation: Provide strategic guidance, including advice on pricing and cost, to support account management activities and contract negotiations.
Collaboration & Escalation: Organize and attend sales-related meetings across departments or with joint venture counterparts.
Qualifications:
5+ years of Leadership experience with the Airlines OR Travel Agencies.
Effectively communicate with customers, superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
Proven ability to make fair, informed decisions under pressure.
Strong leadership presence with a track record of motivating diverse teams.
Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Office Applications.
Available to travel up to 30% (1-2times a month)
Benefits:
Medical/Dental/Vision/Life, Vacation, Holidays, Sick Leave, FSA, 401K, Bonus, and Travel Benefits

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Depending on the position, benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement and savings plans; paid holidays and time off; supplemental insurance; and additional wellness or incentive programs.
