Warehouse Inventory Control

Basic Functions
Support Algood's core values by incorporating them in daily thoughts and actions.
Monitoring, operating, and adjusting production equipment to maintain production goals.
Organizational Relationships Reports to: Production Superintendent Supervises: This position has no direct reports
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize Portal and D365 to research inventory inaccuracies and report findings to designated personnel.
- Alert replenishment, material planner, and others to low and actual inventory levels by audited storage locations.
- Focus on inventory control within the Production Department.
- Use "Missed Scan Frequency" data to correct calculations and methods on problem items.
- Verify material inventory levels after those materials have been utilized each day/week.
- Work with Superintendent on inventory issues and/or concerns.
- Assist in the identification of root cause and preventive measures for inventory usage improvement.
- Ensure all pallets have an inventory license.
- Complete monthly cycle counts.
- Communicate significant adjustments to appropriate personnel.
- Proficient use of computer and mobile scan guns.
- Assist with production needs per supervisors' direction.
- Responsible for completing all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Ability to reach, squat, kneel, climb, push, or pull.
- Ability to lift or carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure continuous cleaning that is required throughout the shift.
- Keep an open line of communication to Management/Supervisors/Material Planner.
- Take breaks/lunches promptly and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the work location is an essential function of this position.

- Working knowledge of D365, Mobile Scan guns, Portal.
- Operate equipment to optimal safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

- Ability to be flexible regarding work hours (OT) and during month-end inventory.

Working Environment and Conditions
- This position requires working in an internal environment with fluctuating temperatures.
Travel
- This position requires less than 10% travel on an as-needed basis.
- Requires a high school diploma/GED
- Previous related experience is required.
- Professional written communication skill is required
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Food Manufacturing
- Language Skills: Ability to speak clearly and distinctly in the English language. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common instructions and schedules
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
- Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions or procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to deal with problems that arise on a day-to-day basis.
- HACCP and SQF training required
- Forklift experience preferred
