- Characterize and validate new equipment and fixtures for introduction to the production floor
- Develop new manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Determine layout of production workstations, optimizing for product flow, ergonomics, and overall efficiency
- Perform process analysis, including DOE, PFMEA, line balancing, capacity modeling/simulation, and DFM input to the design team for process and yield improvements
- Create detailed manufacturing instructions to train technicians and line operators on new processes and equipment
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' experience developing mechanical and/or electromechanical systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Hands-on proficiency with 2D CAD tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D modeling for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)
- Familiarity with conveyance systems, transducer-based fastening (Atlas Copco preferred), robotics (Fanuc or Kuka preferred), adhesive dispensing, laser welding, or automated functional testing
- Demonstrated ability to create technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment
