What You Will Do:

As a Senior Consultant, you will bring strong construction materials expertise and sound technical judgment to guide complex projects with confidence. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and collaborative leader, elevating quality, supporting teams, and strengthening client relationships. Your blend of technical insight and leadership will make you a key contributor to our growth and reputation for exceptional service.



  • Lead Technical Project Delivery: Oversee construction materials testing and special inspections, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and on-time project execution.
  • Mentor & Develop Staff: Provide training, guidance, and oversight to field and lab personnel, supporting team performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee Field & Lab Operations: Manage daily field activities, coordinate laboratory testing, verify data accuracy, and uphold quality-control standards.
  • Produce Reports & Support Proposals: Prepare high-quality reports, perform technical computations, review project data, and contribute to proposal development.
  • Strengthen Client Relationships: Serve as a primary client contact, communicate project updates, resolve issues, and support ongoing business development efforts.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management or a similar technical field required, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience
  • Certifications: Active industry-related certifications such as:

    • American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
    • International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)


  • Key Competencies

    • Excellent business and technical writing skills
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Must be able to effectively lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks





Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments, and with Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), you'll need to be comfortable with:



  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing (potentially up to 12 hours a day)
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
  • Working outside of normal business hours and traveling (typically out-of-town and/or overnight) as project needs arise
