The Manager, Sales Development leads a team of ~8 Lead Development Representatives (LDRs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to drive Flexera's pipeline and exceed front-of-funnel sales goals. Based in our Sales Development Centre of Excellence in Milwaukee, WI, this role focuses on building a high-engagement, high-performance team while leveraging AI, data, and an optimized SDR technology stack to improve productivity, consistency, and pipeline outcomes. You'll provide actionable insights to the business and Senior Executive Leadership Team, ensuring measurable impact on growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain a high-engagement Sales Development team with clear expectations, strong rhythms, and an inclusive culture that drives performance and retention

  • Coach and develop team members through regular 1:1s, call/email reviews, and team meetings - supporting career growth, recognizing success, and addressing underperformance effectively

  • Integrate AI and data-driven practices to improve research, prioritization, outreach quality, and follow-up, ensuring responsible use that enhances customer experience

  • Optimize SDR processes and technology stack including: SalesLoft, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6Sense, Sprout Social, Qualified, Co-pilot, Consensus, and Flockjay - driving adoption and integration for maximum impact

  • Oversee onboarding and enablement with clear playbooks, training, and hands-on support for LDRs and SDRs

  • Use data to guide decisions, maintain reporting and CRM hygiene, and deliver dashboards for visibility into pipeline, productivity, and conversion

  • Identify and remove workflow barriers to enable smarter execution and focus on high-impact activities

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and IT to improve lead flow and pipeline outcomes

  • Support hiring and scaling through interviewing, selection, and growth planning

  • Communicate performance and recommendations to Senior Executive Leadership with a focus on people development, pipeline impact, and ROI

  • Proven experience leading and developing an SDR or Sales Development team as a team lead or first-line leader

  • Strong coaching mindset with a genuine interest in helping early-career sales professionals grow and succeed

  • Experience optimizing sales development processes and technology stacks, ideally including AI-enabled tools

  • Comfortable using data and insights to guide decisions and conversations

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and effective in fast-changing environments
