Your role and responsibilities

The Service Partner Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, enablement, and management of ABB's service partner ecosystem. This role ensures that authorized service partners are equipped to deliver world-class service experiences to ABB customers. The Program Manager will partner closely with Service Operations, Sales, and District teams to establish partner strategies, develop enablement programs, monitor partner performance, and drive continuous improvement across the partner network.

ABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings. The Division's technical teams work closely with industry partners, delivering advanced solutions that support rapid growth, energy transition, and sustainability objectives. The Division's portfolio includes industrial circuit breakers, low-voltage systems, motor starting applications, and safety devices like switches and relays. Its Power Protection unit supports the world's largest data center companies with advanced energy-efficient UPS solutions. The Division's ABB Ability Energy Manager provides a scalable, easy-to-use platform that helps organizations save energy and reduce CO2 emissions.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Drive implementation of service partner strategy by defining objectives, key results, and milestones in collaboration with service management and channel teams, and monitoring progress of related initiatives.

  • Lead service partner readiness programs, ensuring partners have the necessary training, certifications, technical documentation, tools, and support to deliver ABB services effectively.

  • Develop and manage partner enablement programs including onboarding processes, technical training curricula, certification programs, and ongoing competency development aligned with product launches and service offerings. Enhance service partner data quality, including partner capabilities database, certification tracking, and performance metrics to support business operations and decision-making.

  • Oversee partner performance management including establishing KPIs, conducting regular business reviews, tracking service quality metrics, and implementing improvement plans.

  • Align payment and invoicing processes with partner program requirements, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant transactions between ABB and service partners. This includes coordinating with finance teams to streamline billing cycles, resolve discrepancies, and maintain transparency in financial operations.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across service operations, product management, sales, and regional teams to ensure efficient partner program execution and resource utilization.

  • Facilitate communication between ABB and service partners to identify and mitigate risks impacting customer experience, service delivery, or partner satisfaction.

  • Manage partner portal and tools, train partners on service applications, resolve issues proactively, and coordinate updates to ensure effective utilization. Track and report partner program status to leadership, highlighting gaps, performance trends, and recommending solutions for partner network optimization. Continuously improve the service partner program, leveraging feedback and best practices to drive efficiency, scalability, and partner satisfaction. Ensure that partner programs follow sound methodology and execution practices as per ABB standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Operations, or 6+ years of program or project management experience, preferably in product launches, services, or operations.

  • Customer-first mindset with passion for delivering exceptional service experiences. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and negotiate with external partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinker with ability to connect product roadmaps to service requirements. Strong understanding of service delivery models, including field service, technical support, and customer training Data Management

  • Strategic thinker with ability to connect product roadmaps to service requirements. An effective analytical person with an initiative-taking, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Proven history of leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, global environments.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or MS Project).

  • PMP, Agile, or related certification a plus.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $98,700 and $157,920 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
