GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, the Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) Information Technology Project Manager at the State-wide Coordinating Center (CC) serves as the gatekeeper of the CQI's data and the primary liaison between the CC, third-party data vendor(s) and sites' IT departments, ensuring seamless integration and management of healthcare data. This role collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive data strategic plan, aligning with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include maintaining the CC's rolling calendar, overseeing the delivery of key milestones and reports, and ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data strategy, familiarity with FHIR, EHR systems, and EPIC, and a proven history in managing complex IT projects within a healthcare setting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of project management experience required, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Three (3) years of project management experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong preference for work experience with clinical registries, health policy, or quality improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), EHR platforms (especially EPIC), and data governance principles.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with experience translating complex information for clinical and technical audiences.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to innovative technologies quickly.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare policy, data standards, and privacy/security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
