Low Voltage Technician - Start Your Career In Telecommunications Location: Gallatin, TN Launch your telecom career on one of the largest data center builds in the country. TEKsystems' client is hiring motivated Low Voltage Technicians to support a massive data center project - a rare opportunity to gain handson experience with cuttingedge infrastructure, structured cabling, and largescale commercial technology systems. What You'll Do * Install, route, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 lowvoltage cabling * Perform punchdowns, testing, labeling, and cable management * Build and install server racks, cabinets, and pathways * Use basic telecom hand tools to complete daily tasks * Work on ladders, lifts, and in an active construction environment * Support a worldclass data center build from the ground up What Makes You a Strong Fit MustHaves * 6+ months of commercial lowvoltage experience OR 6+ months experience in the trades (data center experience is a huge plus) * Handson skills with Cat5/Cat6 installs, cabling, and terminations * Strong work ethic - this is active, physical work * Familiarity with basic telecom tools * Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail Nice-to-Haves * Experience in large commercial or data center environments * OSP experience (not required but a big bonus) * Interest in growing into telecom, networking, or AV roles Why This Role Is a GameChanger * Break into the telecommunications industry with real, handson experience * Work on a nationleading data center project * Competitive pay + medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits * Strong potential for longterm employment or permanent hire * Access to telecom, electrical, and networking certifications when brought on fulltime * Join a team that values growth, skillbuilding, and career advancement Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
