A Day in the Life

The Technical Product Owner is a key member of the cross-functional agile team, responsible for maximizing the value delivered by digital products, platforms, and processes supporting business operations across one or more of Eide Bailly's Service Lines. Through proactive consulting, risk mitigation, and continuous learning, the Technical Product Owner ensures that solutions are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and support the organization's digital transformation objectives.

  • Builds strong relationships and collaborates with Service Line stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Develops and communicates clear product vision, goals, and roadmaps for assigned products, platforms, and processes. Contributes to release planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manages and refines the product backlog to ensure scope and strategic goals are met. Owns backlog grooming before each sprint, ensuring stories are prioritized, refined, and ready for development, and coordinates with fellow Product Owners across Service Lines.
  • Creates business use cases to justify initiatives and support decision-making. Translates business needs into actionable epics and features, working with Business Analysts to break features into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Oversees sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Scrum ceremonies, serving as the voice of the customer within Scrum teams.
  • Monitors product progress, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts priorities based on feedback and changing requirements.Identifies risks and leads mitigation planning with Scrum Team and Service Line Leader.
  • Drives and contributes to solution design, ensuring alignment with product vision and technical standards. Ensures solutions are delivered on time, meet documented requirements, and comply with quality standards.
  • Creates digital proof of concepts using low code/no code tools to validate feasibility and support decision-making.
  • Ensures products comply with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices for data security and privacy.
  • Coordinates communication and collaboration across Service Lines, technical teams, and delivery partners. Supports change management by communicating product impacts and facilitating training and adoption plans.
  • Maintains required certifications, participates in ongoing professional development, mentors team members, and actively engages in Communities of Practice and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Certified Scrum Product Owner credentials preferred.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, project management, or technology leadership. Experience working in the Accounting, Finance, or Professional Services industry preferred.
  • You have 5+ years of experience working with Agile principles and Scrum methodology, including backlog management and cross-functional team leadership.
  • You have 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams delivering enterprise technology solutions.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in consulting or roles requiring technical expertise and stakeholder engagement.
  • You have experience in mentoring peers and supporting the development of high-performing teams.
  • You have experience using Low Code/No Code tools (preferably Microsoft) to build technical solutions
  • You have a strong understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum, and the responsibilities of a Product Owner.
  • You can translate business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps and product backlogs.
  • You have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You can identify risks and apply mitigation and escalation strategies.
  • You have broad enterprise technology and business operations knowledge, as well as experience working collaboratively with development teams.
  • You have knowledge of the solution design process and ability to contribute to it.
  • You have analytical skills to evaluate technical trade-offs, product performance, user feedback, and business impact
  • You are proficient with tools for backlog management, documentation, and team collaboration (e.g., Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams/SharePoint, or similar).
  • You can resolve conflicts and align business and IT priorities through negotiation.

Compensation

$115,000-$150,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
