IR APP (NP/PA)

Seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join Diagnostic Radiology services at Carilion Clinic. This position will be a new role within a well-developed, advanced diagnostic program offering a collaborative team of radiologists, radiologic technologists, and nurses working together for diagnostic procedures and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with clinical care as well as radiography and fluoroscopically guided procedures. Procedure experience is welcome. Procedures include diagnostic fluoroscopic examinations including esophagrams and upper-GI series, shoulder/hip arthrograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and other general fluoroscopic exams within Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) facilities. All training and proctoring will be provided with direct physician oversight.

The APP will spend 90% of work time assisting in fluoroscopic procedures. The remaining time is spent on patient care, including potential ambulatory practice clinic rotation for nuclear medicine patient follow up. Travel is required to IP/OP locations, including regional hospitals from main site, which is a Level One Trauma Center. Primary practice site is Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) and Crystal Spring Imaging (CSI).
