Client Technology Solutions Specialist

We're looking for a Client Technology Solutions Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work along-side your teammates and clients to provide technical support, consultation and strategy with all aspects of Meeting Technology (primarily Cvent). This role combines technical expertise with strategic consulting, ensuring that technology solutions empower the department and streamline event operations. You will primarily work in Cvent and your day-to-day functions will include Meeting Request Form management, strategic meetings workflow management, general system administration, website template creation & design and data accuracy. You will be integral to helping ensure the client's instance of Cvent is running optimally while partnering on future strategies to make their instance best in class.

Your responsibilities



  • You will be the primary point of contact for all meeting operations functional areas utilizing customer-specific technology, assisting with any technology questions and challenges; this includes other BCD M&E employees, Multiple Third-Party Logistics Partners and Client
  • Offer technical assistance and operational insights for Clients Instance of Cvent during the integration of meeting technologies, which will include group travel booking systems; virtual card integrations, CRM integrations and more
  • Serve as the primary Cvent system administrator, managing all settings, permissions and maintenance to support ongoing technology functionality; ensuring operational efficiency for all Logistics Partners
  • Collaborate with client to formulate an annual technology strategy
  • Work together with the client to maintain the integrity of Cvent technology within broader technology roadmaps and workflows
  • Consult with department leaders on best practices for utilizing technology to maximize strategic impact and streamline event management processes
  • Work with department leaders to develop and update Cvent technology policies
  • Lead the deployment of multiple event technologies, ensuring they align with all operational needs and client goals
  • Develop and improve workflows and automations, creating templates and notifications to enhance system efficiency
  • Partner with the Event Operations team to build and maintain account-level attendee registration website templates
  • Analyze current processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing technology solutions that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Present timely and accurate Cvent technology updates to the client whilst outlining all risks and benefits associated to updates including recommendations for the client's instance
  • Ensure all workflows and system configurations are aligned with Strategic Meetings Management principles
  • Design and deliver training sessions for team members, focusing on effective use of event technology and data input procedures
  • Design and deliver training sessions for new market implementations, focusing on technology adoption
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end users, ensuring they feel confident and proficient with the technology
  • Identifying, documenting and managing Cvent changes and enhancements providing recommendations to client and team
  • Develop accompanying Cvent guides and update existing SOPs as technology and process changes occur



You're good at



  • All things Cvent - expertise is a must! Minimum 5 years meeting industry experience with a focus on Cvent Administration
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving abilities with a focus on driving process improvements, optimizing resource utilization and enhancing program awareness


  • Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, third-party logistics partners and clients.
  • Anticipating client and team needs. You are proactive, adaptable and results-oriented, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Working collaboratively. You're team player with positive attitude and creative problem-solving mindset.

  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with Concur & Citi Integration to Cvent
  • Prior meeting planning, purchasing or website development experience a plus
  • Cvent Certification(s); Account & Systems Administrator

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Site Administrator Client Tech Support is between $60,000 - $75,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
