City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025. With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care-from prevention through survivorship-will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This is not standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope. We are seeking experienced Charge Nurses to join our Medical Surgical team as a Clinical Nurse IV, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and guiding nursing practice standards during your assigned shift. In this Clinical Nurse IV role, you will: Oversee clinical functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care in the Medical Surgical department. Our nurses care for a diverse range of patients, including those with cardiac, respiratory, sepsis, diabetes, and post-surgical conditions, many of whom are undergoing chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments. You will coordinate patient care by directing staff and functions on the unit, while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills. Ensure continuity and congruity of services through coordination of the department, supervision, and direction of staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, and patients. We are looking for passionate, skilled nurses who can think critically, act decisively, and provide compassionate support to patients and families. Your ability to effectively communicate, document, and integrate cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs into care plans will be key to delivering exceptional care.
