We are seeking a Flight Coordinator to join our team! The Flight Coordinator is responsible for performing quality checks of in-flight meals and ensuring that customers' orders are complete.

Essential Functions

  • Must punch in to work in full uniform, Check in with dispatch at beginning of shift for aircraft configuration and account information.
  • Must only load the required amount of meals based on menu specifications, final catering figures and ensure temperature is maintained with proper dry icing of meals prior to removal from refrigeration.
  • Report to Equipment/beverage packing areas to check equipment, beverage flight setup with airline specifications to include dry icing of beverages and signoff on checklist.
  • Communicates any shortages or substitutions with FFG shift manager on duty.
  • Required to take a FFG radio for communications during flight sign offs.
  • Communicates with and maintains excellent customer relations with airline and flight crews also informing them of shortages, substitutions.
  • Issues crew a copy of menu handouts, explanation (breakdown) of meals boarding bill.
  • Communicates and help ensures all aircraft changes and schedules are adjusted.
  • Ensure airline specifications are adhered to, including menus, a/c boarding, ramp safety, etc.
  • Ensure flight equipment and food is set up and delivered correctly to meet airline requirements.
  • Check trucks for completeness before kitchen departure at the FFG facility.
  • Ensures on time departures.
  • Responsible for informing Account manager or Operations Management of inbound shortage or irregularities.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines taking temperatures in the kitchen before the flight leaves the facility and once loaded on the A/C. Must following the Regulated use of a laboratory coat during the in house setup of flight.
  • Work in safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers and report all unsafe incidents.
  • Will be required to drive catering truck to aircraft/assist catering if needed.
  • Complete the FFG Coordinator reports, bank usage, temperature logs, and Security times and report all discrepancies of the flight handled and inform the Account Manager, Transportation Manager and Operations Managers with a copy of the report.



Skills and Qualifications

  • Education/Experience -High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability - Able to communicate with coworkers and supervisors.. item. Recognize differences between words and numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Math Ability - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Manual Dexterity - Able to work with hands
  • Reasoning Ability - Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - No Computer skills needed .but literacy a big plus
  • Must pass background check and where applicable for airport clearance meet US Customs requirements and fingerprinting for airport access.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during the workday. Employee will be active, walking, lifting and pushing +50 lbs., exposed to various temperature changes (hot and cold) and noise levels, and exposed to fall hazards. Some job duties of this position will also require to the employee to sit for an extended period of time and reach with hand and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.

Flexibility with weekdays, evenings and weekend required.
