Job Description

This positionis responsible forcoordinating and controlling the handling and storage of raw materials, finished goods and labels through the warehouse by effectively using available resources. This position will also ensure accuracy of raw materials, finishedgoodsand label inventories.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities

  1. Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.

  2. Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules,regulationsand policies.

  4. Reviews andpreparesdaily reports and cross-checks for production entry, off shift move sheets,shipmentsand receipts.

  5. Enter inventory adjustments as needed,performsroute cause analysis and corrective actions.

  6. Manages Inventory levels to reduce old age/hold product and minimize storage.

  7. Works closely with receivingsupervisorto helpmonitorinventories andassistas needed.

  8. Performs monthly physical inventory reconciliation and prepares/submitsmonthly reports.

  9. Assistlogistic manager with inventory and shipping issues.

  10. Additionalduties asassigned by warehouse supervisor, plant superintendent,or plant manager

Qualifications

Education:High School Diploma or equivalent;Associatedegreepreferred.

Related Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry; Supervisory experience preferred.

Equipment/SoftwareSkills:Proficient use of Excel, Word, Outlook, AS400/IBMor Inventory Management System.

Additional Information

Valuable Experience:

  • Solid background in manufacturing and food processing industries, with experience in optimizing production processes and ensuring equipment reliability

Physical: Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties. Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and must be able to wear a respirator required.

Sensory:

Mental/Reasoning:Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures
