Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex - Armed Utility Patrol in Bradley, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a utilities location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. This role involves both armed responsibilities and driving duties as you respond to incidents, interact with clients and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service in line with our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards in and around the utility facility.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any security-related observations.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local emergency responders when necessary.
  • Remain alert and maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents at the utility location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
