The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: A Women's Health RN Diabetes Educator provides comprehensive education, assessment, and support to female patients with diabetes or pre-diabetes, focusing on self-management through one-on-one or group sessions. Key responsibilities include teaching about diet, blood glucose monitoring, medication administration, and managing complications, while also collaborating with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans and using motivational interviewing to empower patients.

Qualifications:

  • An Active New JerseyaRegistered Nurse (RN) License or Registered Dietitian (RD) required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in diabetes education and knowledge of its impact on women's health is required.
  • Certification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with gestational diabetes or high-risk OB populations preferred.
  • Strong patient education and counseling skills.
  • Knowledge of insulin therapy, oral diabetes medications, and use of continuous glucose monitoring systems.
  • Effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Culturally sensitive and empathetic approach to patient care.
