What to Expect
We are seeking aSoftware License Specialistto manage andoptimizeour engineering and enterprise software licenses, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and proper allocation. This role involvesworking closely with Engineering stakeholders,supporting the procurement ofbest-in-classsoftware tools to maximize software availability while minimizing overspending. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with license managers likeFLEXlm, DSLS, RLM, andOpenLM, as well asexpertise withvarioussoftwarelicensing models.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor and analyze software license usage tooptimizeallocation and reduce unnecessary costs

  • Identifyand investigate opportunities toconsolidatetools to improve commercial positions and reduce overhead related to vendor management

  • Ensure compliance with vendor agreements and internal policies

  • Track licensing costs by department / team / user andmaintainregular communication with organization and leadership on usage levels and associated costs

  • Support team with quarterly cost forecasting by analyzing usage patterns

  • Work with IT, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to align software needs with business goals. Project manage thesecross-functional optimization effortsto ensure deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines and with measurable results

  • Provide documentation on license policies and best practices

  • Develop scripts or use automation tools to streamline license tracking and reporting

  • Leverage license management tools to ensure that all applicable usage is tracked including named/shareable andtoken based licensing


What You'll Bring
  • Experience withFLEXlm(FlexNetPublisher), DSLS (DassaultSystemesLicense Server), RLM (Reprise License Manager), andOpenLM

  • Strong understanding offloating, named-user, and token-based licensing models

  • Basic knowledge of major Engineering software platforms: 3DX, Ansys, Autodesk etc.

  • Ability tointerfacewithhighlycross functional teams to understand needsand find balanced solutions that deliver on the needs at the lowest cost

  • Project management experience, withdemonstratedability todriveaccountabilityof cross-functional teams

  • Data Analysisskills to assess license usage and recommend optimizations

  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g.,Python, PowerShell) for automation

  • Experience withJira

  • Knowledge of software procurement processes and vendor license agreements

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
