As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Power Module at Tesla, you will lead the development of innovative manufacturing processes and technologies to produce high-quality power modules, driving the future of sustainable energy.
What You'll Do
- Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies for power module packaging and assembly
- Collaborate with design to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) solutions and seamless integration of product design and manufacturing processes
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and implement new manufacturing processes and materials
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate process assumptions, understand process interactions, and optimize process conditions
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to power module assembly, including equipment, process, and material-related problems
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and training materials
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in power electronics module assembly and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of product design and assembly interaction
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing module packaging processes, including soldering, wire bonding, encapsulation, adhesives, and other relevant technologies
- Experience with process development, optimization, and control, including statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
- Proven experience in automated manufacturing equipment, installation, qualification, characterization, and meeting manufacturing targets
- Proficiency in CAD tools and six sigma principles, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
