Description and Requirements

As a PR & Social Media Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned communications, influencer, and social media professionals to help shape Motorola's brand narrative. You will contribute to a wide range of projects, from crafting press materials to social content development, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

PR Support:

  • Assist with building media lists, drafting pitches, and preparing briefing documents.

  • Track press coverage, compile reports, and help organize press assets and event recaps.

  • Support the execution of press moments, product send-outs, and media relations efforts.

Social Media Support:

  • Assist in planning and developing content across Motorola's social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Assist with community engagement.

  • Help plan content quarterly content calendars.

  • Support the creation of social trend analyses, cultural insights, and competitive research.

Influencer & Talent Support:

  • Help track influencer deliverables, organize content submissions, and manage product shipments.

  • Assist with research for new creators and support logistics for influencer activations and events.

  • Maintain organized databases and contribute to campaign documentation.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, PR agency partners, and the global comms team.

  • Participate in brainstorms and contribute fresh, culturally aware ideas for campaigns and social moments.

Learning & Development:

  • Receive mentorship from senior PR and social team members and gain hands-on exposure to real-world brand and communications work.

  • Stay updated on media trends, evolving social platform formats, creator culture, and cultural moments to bring a modern perspective to the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics tools.

  • Interest in media relations, influencer marketing, and brand storytelling.

  • Experience using Sprinklr, Emplifi, CreatorIQ, or similar content tools is a plus.

  • Experience using Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus.
