The School of Physics at Georgia Tech currently has 63 academic (Tenure Track and Non Tenure Track) and research faculty, and its graduate program is ranked 21st in the nation by US News and World Report. The School has a broad research program with strengths in astrophysics, condensed matter, atomic, molecular and optical physics, physics of living systems, nonlinear science and soft matter physics. The School is also a key player in interdisciplinary initiatives established within Georgia Tech, such as quantum systems, neuroscience, microbial dynamics, planetary sciences, and data science/machine learning. Its diverse student body comprises more than 130 graduate students and 275 undergraduate majors Job Summary
Provide promotional, administrative, performance assessment, and financial/accounting services in support of assigned program(s) within a research center, academic unit, or other campus units of a school. These functions may encompass a variety of activities related to program success, including program marketing, administration, operations, and development.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1
Design/develop promotional and marketing materials to include those developed for specific target audiences in support of program outreach efforts
Job Duty 2
Plan, schedule, and coordinate promotional events
Job Duty 3
Coordinate administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation.
Job Duty 4
Develop, analyze, reconcile, and report financial data related to program operations.
Job Duty 5
Develop and maintain performance assessment tools applied in program review to measure and report progress.
Job Duty 6
Collaborate with internal and external entities to aid institutional or program support.
Job Duty 7
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required work experience:
Four to six years of job-related experience

Pay Range: $32,000 to $37,250/yr.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires working knowledge of research program promotion and administration. Included skills in development and administering program assessment tools, marketing, and financial analysis and reporting. Also required are skills in planning, organization, spoken and written communications, scheduling, and customer service. Use of the office and specialized computer applications and databases is required.

This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position does not require a security clearance. Location: Atlanta, GA

Work schedule: Part Time: 20 hours a week This is a limited-term position and is subject to the availability of funding thereafter. All employment and assignments are ultimately contingent upon available funding, business needs, and your performance of the assignment. Georgia Tech retains the right to terminate this assignment at any time for cause or, in its sole discretion, for convenience; in either case, Georgia Tech's obligation shall be limited to payment for hours and/or days worked prior to the termination date.
