The Role

As Plant Controller, you will serve as the primary financial partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, playing a critical role in guiding manufacturing performance, improving processes, and supporting profitable growth. This is a highly visible role for a finance professional who enjoys being hands-on in a manufacturing environment and making a real impact.

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted business partner to site leadership, providing clear financial insights and recommendations
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Own the month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and internal controls for the plant
• Drive cost transparency and margin improvement through strong cost accounting practices
• Lead annual standard cost development
• Support manufacturing planning, S&OP, and operational decision-making
• Improve financial processes and strengthen internal controls in a complex organization
• Coach, train, and influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Promote a safe, environmentally responsible workplace

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years in a manufacturing plant environment as a Cost Accountant or Plant Controller
• Strong cost accounting knowledge
• ERP system experience (SAP, QAD, Oracle, or similar)
• Proven ability to lead forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close

Preferred

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• CPA
• Corporate finance or operational analysis experience
