Georgia-Pacific Cellulose LLC is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Corporate Quality team as an experienced Quality Specialist. This key role supports Quality Operations across Brunswick Cellulose, Alabama River Cellulose, and Leaf River Cellulose locations. Initial training for this role will be conducted at the Brunswick facility (up to 3 weeks) with an expectation of this being an onsite role up to twice a week.

Relocation support can be provided for candidates looking to relocate closer to the mill (the preference for this role would be to have someone within an hours drive of Brunswick).

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated team member who embodies our Principle-Based Management approach, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and alignment with customer needs - all while fostering collaboration and integrity.

What You Will Do

  • Use written and oral communication skills to deliver claim information clearly and concisely to customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor claim feedback investigations to ensure timely resolution and proper documentation of events, holding yourself and others accountable for quality outcomes.
  • Assist in researching and providing information as needed for an effective investigation.
  • Submit weekly reports to track claim resolution for Operations, Logistics, and Commercial Services.
  • Gather data for monthly and quarterly claim reports/presentations for the business unit.
  • Prepare and report monthly Quality Metric Performance for the business.
  • Maintain and enhance the Customer Feedback System to ensure precision in updates and ease of use, reflecting our commitment to innovation and the customer experience.
  • Work with Site Record Coordinator and department to ensure that Company Records are managed appropriately.
  • Promote and contribute to an effective, high-performing, and respectful team environment.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels to drive alignment and shared accountability.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in written communication.
  • Excellence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as experience using Microsoft Teams for project coordination, virtual meetings, and cross-functional communication.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate production and operations software applications.
  • Capable to produce comprehensive and grammatically correct written documentation.
  • Confidence and willingness to challenge leadership constructively to enhance processes and outcomes.
  • Able to travel up to 10% to address mill and customer needs.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry.
  • Experience in Cellulose Manufacturing.
  • Advanced skills in creating and analyzing complex spreadsheets, including pivot tables, automated reporting, and data visualization for impactful decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years' relative work experience in Quality or Customer Service.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Root Cause Analysis experience.
  • ISO knowledge / QMS background experience.
