Overview
The Disability Resource Center is seeking applicants for an Accommodated Testing Coordinator (Coordinator III) position. This highly detailed, customer service-oriented position is assigned to coordinate exam accommodations across USU courses, assist with the creation of accessible course materials, provide support for front office reception, and participate in the supervision of student staff.

The Accommodated Testing Coordinator interacts daily with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that the university meets its legal obligation to provide students with accommodations. The legally required accommodations coordinated by this position are highly time-sensitive and must be effectively provided with professionalism and confidentiality. A qualified candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage complex processes with attention to detail, proficiency with computers, the ability to multitask efficiently, and the ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the provision of exam accommodations across all University sites and campuses.
  • Communicate clearly with students, faculty, and staff to ensure students receive appropriate exam accommodations.
  • Create training materials for students, faculty, and staff related to exam accommodations and support services the DRC provides.
  • Maintain detailed records, collect accommodation data, and compile reports.
  • Utilize and troubleshoot assistive technology as needed to provide student accommodations.
  • Train and supervise hourly employees. Ensure that hourly staff perform job duties as assigned.
  • Maintain computer hardware and software in the Testing Area and keep the Accommodated Testing Webpages current.
  • Assist in the creation of accessible materials.
  • Participate in the development and management of support programs for students with disabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Four years of related experience; OR an associate degree plus two years of experience; OR a bachelor's degree is required.
  • High level of competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including a concise and professional writing style.
  • Experience working in an environment that requires organization and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience providing support services to students.
  • Familiarity with Utah State University.
  • Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System.
  • Past supervisory experience.
  • Experience using and troubleshooting various assistive technologies.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn assistive technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a professional team
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships across campus constituencies.
  • Ability to use a wide range of office equipment and technology.
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines while handling confidential information.
