A Brief Overview

The International Relations Liaison will build and maintain strong relationships with countries in the Middle East, physicians and prospective patients to foster collaboration, improve patient care, and support the strategic growth of University Hospitals' international patient program, often through outreach, networking, and strategic planning. The liaison serves as an ambassador for University Hospitals. This is a multi-faceted role in which the International Relations Liaison will build, maintain and enhance relationships between UAE Medical Sector particularly by working closely with the DOH to facilitate the referral of patients seeking advanced medical care in the United States. The primary focus is to help UH expand its international patient program, strengthen its presence in the Middle East, and ensure seamless coordination of care for patients traveling to UH.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain accurate information on all patients within the assigned territory
  • Facilitate personal interactions between UH service resources and countries including contract finalization
  • Gather and report market intelligence
  • Analyze referral patterns to understand opportunities for growth
  • Primary point of contact for countries, including UAE Department of Health (DOH)
  • Work with UH physicians on having them travel to the UAE to represent UH

  • Participate in market planning sessions
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
