The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering ( ISE) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for tenure-track positions. (Assistant and Associate Professor).

We seek candidates with expertise in machine learning, AI-driven decision-making, data-driven optimization, complex systems modeling and intelligent systems in advanced manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, security and resilience and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The candidate is expected to develop and sustain a strong and externally funded research program, teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, promoting excellence and innovation in learning, contribute to curriculum development in data science, AI, and computational modeling in ISE related topics, engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research across Rutgers and with external partners and actively participate in departmental, school, and professional service. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline, completed by the time of appointment and demonstrated excellence in research, potential for or record of external funding, and a strong commitment to teaching and student success.

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering ( ISE) at Rutgers is a dynamic and growing department with research strengths in optimization, reliability and quality engineering, manufacturing, and energy systems. ISE houses state-of-the-art laboratories in robotics and automation, smart manufacturing, reliability and quality engineering, energy systems, and advanced simulation and control.
