Reports To: Assistant Controller

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Responsible for cash and treasury operations in coordination with AP, short-term borrowing and investments, as well as debt payments, cash consolidation and wire processing. Assesses the products, services, technologies, and systems that are available and appropriate for the Company. Oversees aspects of the company's financial risk exposure including interest rate risk and foreign currency risk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes, but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Treasury and cash management operations and helps develop strategies to maximize efficiencies, safeguard assets and minimize costs.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities. Including daily review of fraud filters.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to current cash management processes.
  • Assists in managing and maintaining company's banking infrastructure, including bank and brokerage relationships.
  • Ensures mortgages are paid timely and preparation of the Mortgage Master is timely and accurate.
  • Oversees cash functions, including cash positioning, cash reporting and forecasting, short-term investing and borrowing, wire payments, fraud prevention, bank account setup and maintenance, and bank relationship management.
  • Conducts research into variances and provides explanations.
  • Prepares and records journal entries for cash transactions such as wire transfers and cash consolidation.
  • Prepare and manage debt compliance activities - pull financial statements and rent rolls from the ERP, calculate debt service coverage, as requested by property and quarterly enterprise-wide reporting.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.

A minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CTP preferred.

  • Ability to create and maintain amortization schedules.
  • Strong treasury solutions software skills, Wells Fargo CEO Portal experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, operations, and upper management
  • Strong verbal/ written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to troubleshoot, find comprehensive solutions, and report findings in a concise and timely manner.

Computer Skills

Large ERP experience, Microsoft Excel (lookup, tables, pivot tables, charting).

Organization Skills

The ability to organize, manage, and coordinate many accounts across many entities.

Salary: We maintain broad salary ranges for our roles in order to account for variations in experience, training skills, geographic location, and market conditions, as well as to reflect our differing products and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting.
