Responsible for serving as the liaison for the Optics Department for repairs, repair parts, and product investigations.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates with the Product Surveillance Team (complaints), and Optics Department regarding product investigations, shipping of scopes to vendors, and tracking of complaint repairs to ensure completion in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with Optics Stockroom (Materials Management) & the Optics Production Manager to ensure minimal backlog of repairs.
- Maintains log of backordered parts for repairs.
- Maintains & distributes statistical data pertaining to current production and repairs inventory.
- Coordinates disposal of scrap materials with the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor.
- Assists and ensures the timely movement of product throughout the building.
- Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects fiber light illumination as needed.
- Supports the Quality Control Department with inspection, verification, and tracking of repairs as needed.
- Provides back up support for inspection of rigid scopes with computerized test bench.
- Provides back up support for sterilization of optic instruments (rigid, semi-rigid, and couplers).
- Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned quality & compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager - Optics and/or the Production Supervisor - Optics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 3 years of applicable experience preferred.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts or overtime as needed to support production schedules and meet quality objectives.
- Intermediate PC skills in all major MS Office Suite products with an ability to become familiar with specific programs and software (e.g. SAP - our ERP software).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.

- Bend/Stoop/Kneel 4 hours per day
- Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
- Push/pull 50+ pounds
