Cloud Solution Architect (Healthcare Focus) | Grand Rapids, MI OR Minneapolis, MN

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will engage with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application and service portfolios, and design reliable, cost-effective cloud architectures. You will partner with Sales, delivery leadership, and internal teams, hosting conversations with stakeholders such as:
- Business Leaders: Engage on how cloud technology supports goals, optimizes costs, and enables opportunities.
- Enterprise Architects: Engage on migration strategies, hybrid architectures, security, identity, and network design.
- IT Professionals: Engage on infrastructure as code, monitoring, automation, and deployment.
- Developers: Engage on cloud-native application design and infrastructure needs.

What You'll Accomplish:
Client & Project Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project teams, guiding cloud architecture, technical approaches, and delivery.
- Enable teams to become self-sufficient, starting with hands-on involvement and transitioning to oversight.
- Provide client coaching on cloud adoption, infrastructure evolution, and IT strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions and address risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Thrive in ambiguous situations, proactively creating actionable plans.
Cloud Architecture & Technical Expertise:
- Design, document, and implement scalable cloud solutions (AWS & Azure), including hybrid and migration architectures, leveraging automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Define architecture vision, principles, and standards to guide development.
- Integrate cloud services with on-premises systems for seamless interoperability.
- Recommend appropriate cloud services, technologies, and protocols aligned with business goals.
Business Development / Pre-Sales:
- Collaborate with Sales on SOWs and solution outcomes aligned with client business requirements.
- Understand healthcare industry requirements, compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST), and technology needs.
Practice & Professional Development:
- Produce detailed documentation including architecture diagrams, technical specs, and design records.
- Establish and enforce governance to ensure compliance with security, healthcare standards, and cloud best practices.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices.
- Participate in training, conferences, and certifications to enhance skills and capabilities.
What You'll Bring:
Technical Expertise:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing and delivering complex cloud solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of on-premises datacenter infrastructure and hybrid cloud design.
- Proficiency in cloud architecture principles, security, compliance, migration strategies, and automation.
Consulting & Leadership:
- Consulting experience within an organization or as an architect/consultant.
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and creating actionable plans.
- Experience leading and mentoring self-sustaining project teams.
- Ability to define SOWs, outcomes, and technical approaches.
Industry & Business Acumen:
- Healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Ability to connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.
- Experience acting as a "Trusted Advisor" to clients.
Soft Skills:
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in technical sales, deployment, architecture, design, and implementation.
- 3+ years leading technical teams.
- 2+ years in cloud or digital transformation roles.
- Consulting experience required.
