Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Incumbent serves as ITS Operations Engineer for UCI Health's TechOps, DevOps, and Monitoring environment. Responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, operations and upgrade of the LogicMonitor and EdwinAI solutions. Alert monitoring for all observed Network, Server, and Application services. Provides day-to-day administration of LogicMonitor access, groups, and licensing. Responsible for the delivery of end-to-end solutions within LogicMonitor, including architecting technical implementations of IT and Business processes, and coordinating those efforts with ITS Management and/or ITS Staff.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Researching, reviewing, and making recommendations on new enterprise ITOM applications, solutions, or innovations from a perspective design, integration, and technical fit with other systems.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 5 years of IT Operations experience
  • Manage all technical risks and make sure that the described solution proves to be consistent while meeting all the necessary requirements.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Functional understanding of Networking, Virtualization, Storage, Administration, Application Management, Technical Operations, Datacenter, etc.
  • Formal education or certifications in Computer Science and TechOps/DevOps/Monitoring experience or 5 years of a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Designing the structure of new technology systems, overseeing the implementation of programs, and liaising with the software development team.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise monitoring solutions. o Network & Infrastructure monitoring o Server & Operating system monitoring o Application and service level monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision on projects including configurations, installation and maintenance
  • Ability to skillfully react to a fluid and constantly changing work environment
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to generate roadmaps to include systems development life cycle (SDLP)
  • Ability to gather business requirements and communicate with technical staff
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across IT and management staff
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with clients, peers and management
  • Ability to diagnose and fix issues in complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment.
  • Experience working in an AIOps environment.
  • Experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience using LogicMonitor (must be able to demonstrate and document expertise) for: o Infrastructure Monitoring o Cloud Monitoring o Alerting o Integration with ServiceNow
  • Experience developing predictive alerting.
  • Drive to stay up to date with latest trends and industry standards.
