The Director of Transaction and Project Contracts plays a critical role in leading the administration, execution and adherence of contractual agreements involving commercial aviation aircraft and engine transactions for portfolio acquisitions, sale-lease-backs, lease placements, asset sales and dispositions, maintenance services, and aircraft modifications. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team in a high transaction volume environment and contribute to the continued growth and success of the largest freighter leasing company. In this role, you will work across sales/commercial, technical, legal, compliance, insurance, finance and accounting functions to plan, direct and organize the preparation, negotiation and administration of all contracts, contract amendments and related activities, and propose conditions to maximize value and mitigate risk.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies or complementary general studies field from an accredited university. Five or more years combined paralegal experience, preferably working directly with transaction contracts. Demonstrated experience in negotiating and contract drafting as well as knowledge of legal, financial, financial, accounting, and standard business practices related to contracts that consider cultural norms and the client's best interest. Strong ethics and experience promoting adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations. Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology. Successful supervisory skills of professional staff, and a positive, flexible, and service-oriented attitude toward internal and external customers. Outstanding analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management, customers, and sales prospects. Project management skills to manage competing deal timelines, detail-oriented, inquisitive, proactive, highly motivated, and can work independently to meet deadlines. Planning and organizational skills are necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of assigned areas within a multiple project setting. Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheets or database applications, project management tools, email, and web-based applications. Preferred Job Skills * Advance degree in law and/or formal training in business transaction contracts. * Direct contracting experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, or other similar experience. * Familiarity with corporate compliance policies and procedures, audits, and management. * Knowledge of the relevant aviation industry is desirable, cargo aircraft maintenance and operations, aircraft leasing, and FAA terminology.
