Description
Dunwoody College of Technology is currently seeking Adjunct Instructors for our Communication and Context course. Successful candidates will have a high level of technical competency and professional experience relevant to the course, as well as a desire to reinforce the mission and vision of the Program. This position is responsible for initiating the teaching and learning process with a focus on continuous improvement; creating an environment in which students can accomplish the learning competencies with the use of the existing curriculum. The result should be students' abilities to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, ethics, and use of proper tools to meet professional practice standards. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
Available Courses: Course Description: For the better part of every day, technical professionals rely on communication to get work done efficiently and effectively. In this course, you will develop the communication skills critical for successful problem solving in authentic contexts. You will analyze the situation surrounding a particular message and learn to tailor content, language, structure, and design choices to an intended audience. Qualifications
Candidate must meet one of the following criteria: All faculty teaching courses in communications, arts/humanities, and social sciences will meet one of the following criteria: * A master's degree in the subject in which they are teaching; OR * Any master's degree and 18 graduate credits in the content area in which they are teaching OR * A master's degree in education and a bachelor's degree in the subject or adjacent subject in which they are teaching, and evidence of maintaining current practices through professional development or work in their discipline. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
