Job Summary:

We are hiring Cable Technicians with foundational experience in the structured cabling industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for candidates who have worked on commercial or data center cabling projects and are ready to take on more responsibility with support from experienced leads. Technicians will assist with cable installation, routing, termination, and infrastructure builds on national low voltage and telecom projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with pulling, routing, dressing, and labeling structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber)
  • Terminate and test copper and fiber cables under supervision
  • Install infrastructure components such as ladder racks, J-hooks, conduit, cable trays, and patch panels
  • Support telecom room buildouts including rack and equipment placement
  • Read and follow basic installation drawings, cable layouts, and project instructions
  • Perform daily jobsite cleanup and adhere to all safety standards and PPE requirements
  • Collaborate with team leads and senior technicians to complete tasks on time and to spec
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and follow OSHA and site-specific protocols


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in structured cabling (commercial or data center environments)
  • Familiarity with common cable types and termination tools (punch down tools, testers, etc.)
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Must be comfortable using ladders, lifts, and working in overhead/underfloor spaces
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods
  • Must own basic hand tools: multi-bit screwdriver, snips, punch tool, pliers, tape measure, flashlight, gloves, and tool pouch
  • Steel/composite toe work boots required
