Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced AV Programmer to support and execute control system programming for commercial AV projects across multiple branches. This remote-based role requires the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while delivering high-level programming solutions, particularly in Crestron. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Crestron systems, complemented by experience with QSC/QSYS and Extron platforms. This role requires frequent collaboration with Project Managers, Leads, and Field Engineers to ensure successful system delivery, both remotely and on-site as needed.

Position Overview:

This programming team works fully remote and plays a key role in managing and delivering AV control solutions across a high volume of simultaneous projects. Candidates must be strong communicators, capable of working closely with field teams and project leadership. Priority technologies are:

  • Primary: Crestron (HEAVY emphasis)
  • Secondary: QSC/QSYS
  • Tertiary: Extron


Core Responsibilities:

  • Program medium to large Crestron systems including video distribution (NVX), conference rooms, training/event spaces, and video walls
  • Support nationwide AV programming needs across all branches
  • Coordinate and communicate directly with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Team Leads
  • Provide remote commissioning and troubleshooting support
  • Maintain consistent documentation and version control of programming files


Base Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Crestron Simpl/Simpl+
  • Experience with QSYS scripting and audio configuration
  • Familiarity with Extron GCP and scripting tools
  • Ability to commission AV systems with minimal oversight


Advanced Programming Skills (Preferred):

  • Crestron C# and HTML5 development within Visual Studio
  • Lua scripting in QSC QSYS
  • JavaScript programming in Extron Scripting Manager
  • Multi-platform programming expertise for scalable commercial solutions


Certifications (Required & Preferred):

  • Minimum: Crestron CP-301 certification
  • Preferred: Crestron Master Programmer - Silver
  • QSYS Level 1 + Quantum + Control Level 1
  • Biamp Tesira certification
  • Dante Level 1 & 2 certification


Experience Expectations (Based on Location):

Remote Candidates:

  • 10+ years in the AV industry, including installation and on-site commissioning experience
  • Proven ability to support field teams remotely and lead programming efforts independently
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for system commissioning or field support


Local Candidates (within 1 hour of branch):

  • 5-10 years in the AV industry
  • Ability to regularly visit job sites and work directly with local teams
  • Expected to spend more time commissioning systems and working hands-on with hardware
