Dining Services Attendant, Senior (Einstein Bagels)

Your Role:

As a Dining Services Attendant, Senior you will perform various duties necessary in the preparation of the service of food. Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests. Models and acts in accordance to Einstein Bagels franchise standards.

• Inputs & receives and puts away storeroom orders.
• Prepares unit for opening, stocking, signs, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Monitors food quality and employee productivity.
• Ensures all areas are staffed, delegates job assignments. Trains employees in their job duties and health codes. Actively develops and supports a team-based focus within Student Union.
• Openly communicates with staff and supervisor.
• Completes product orders as required.
• Rings up orders accurately. Enters totals on reports as required.
• Greets and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner. Provides suggestions and input to supervisor. Actively solves problems wherever possible. Works harmoniously with coworkers.
• Participates in employee discipline and guidance.
• Oversees and assists with weekly inventory. Controls labor and food costs.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of and actively supports labor cost and food cost budgets.
• Knowledge of Food Pro and performs Forecasting, Service Needs and Modify Delivery Information.
• Knowledge of food service operations, including sanitation standards and food preparation.
• Knowledge of food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers, and fryers.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work evenings, days, weekends and holidays.

Physical requirement:

• Able to lift, transfer/move a maximum of 50 lbs.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

• 2 years of experience in high volume restaurant setting.
