Electrical Power Engineer Needed!

Location: Newington, NH

Salary: $150,000 + 10% bonus

Relocation Support: Available if needed

Position Overview

In this role, you will design next-generation, high-reliability undersea electrical products. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, optical, and reliability engineers to develop fault-tolerant circuits that operate in the challenging subsea environment. You will also lead verification and qualification planning, write factory test plans, and support new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design and simulate analog and digital circuits, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, and electro-optic components (photodiodes, lasers).
  • Plan and execute qualification testing for new products.
  • Conduct hands-on experimental work with prototype components, circuits, and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless design and production integration.
  • Ensure all work aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.



Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design.
  • Expertise in electrical and power circuit design, data analysis, and computer programming.
  • Strong experimental and laboratory skills; hands-on soldering and circuit assembly experience.
  • Experience with single-mode optical fiber, fiber optic components, and optical measurement techniques.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required.
