Job Family Group: FacultyTime Type: Full timeDepartment/Office: Finance and Business AnalyticsExemption Status: ExemptJob Description: The Department of Finance and Business Analytics in the Neidorff School of Business at Trinity University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Finance position, beginning August 10, 2026. This is a renewable, non-tenure-track appointment with an initial three-year term.The primary teaching responsibility of this position is to teach the introductory-level finance courses. The successful candidate will be a passionate and effective teacher dedicated to engaging undergraduate business students, primarily sophomores. They should demonstrate excellence in classroom instruction, enthusiasm for introducing students to the field of finance, and the ability to make complex financial concepts accessible and relevant. The primary service responsibility of this position is to play an active role in student professional development of finance majors, including organizing networking and career-related events, integrating career readiness and professional skills into coursework, and implementing career preparation initiatives. The department especially welcomes candidates who are eager to inspire students to pursue finance as a major and help them connect classroom learning with meaningful career opportunities. The Department of Finance and Business Analytics offers two undergraduate majors-Finance and Business Analytics-and is home to 12 dedicated faculty committed to teaching excellence and student success. The Finance group, a close-knit team of five faculty supporting about 90 majors, delivers a rigorous and applied curriculum grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Students gain hands-on experience through the Student Managed Fund, Bloomberg Lab, and national competitions that connect classroom learning to real-world finance. The Student Managed Fund is one of the largest undergraduate funds in the nation, currently managing a portfolio of $ 16 million. APPOINTMENT DETAILS This position will be a 9-month appointment with a three-year renewable term. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Required: Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field. Preferred: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. EXPERIENCE Preferred:
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Preferred: Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or similar credentials that demonstrate mastery of finance concepts and industry engagement.
