Job Summary:

Directs the National Service Repair Center in daily operations and decision-making to ensure customer satisfaction on a timely basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct the operations of the National Repair Center to meet or exceed company goals for customer satisfaction, revenue and P&L
  • Assesses and monitors the workload of technicians, ensuring high-quality standards are met with minimal turnaround time for customer repairs.
  • Reviews and expedites service orders and appropriate correspondence, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness while supplying customers with appropriate documentation
  • Expedites return of defective parts to OEM vendors to maintain sufficient inventory for customer repairs while analyzing repair information provided by vendors and testing vendor returned parts, ensuring and maintaining high quality
  • Provides quality assurance with MDR parts, warranty parts, and service order information to facilitate investigation of customer concerns; communicates with quality in reliability reporting, and assists in expediting customer complaints
  • Oversee the inventory of spare parts, loaners, and test equipment to forecast new equipment needs while providing part and loaner support to customers
  • Recommends spare parts purchases to customers to maintain the quality performance of monitoring products and increase revenue
  • Performs audits and inspections ofthe repair center to ensure proper static handling procedures and a clean work environment
  • Manage the inventory of company loaners assigned to the NRC and Parts Banks

Decision-Making Authority:

  • Hiring, training, and performance management
  • Delegates workload and sets priorities for customer repairs
  • Purchases test equipment and tools for technicians as required
  • Decides the warranty/out-of-warranty status of repairs
  • Approves documentation and correspondence generated by repair center technicians
  • Assists with personnel reviews

Position Specifications:

1. Knowledge/Educational Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics
  • Minimum of five years of related technical and technical lead experience

2. Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to conceptualize solutions to difficult technical situations
  • Ability to interpret computer reports and stay within budgetary constraints
  • Proficient with PC applications
  • Ability to use test equipment and mechanical tools
  • Ability to handle dissatisfied customers in a calm, professional manner

3. Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Normal office environment with light lifting and mechanical assembly/disassembly
