AAO is currently seeking an innovative individual that demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving for the position of Material Specialist Team Lead.

The Test Specialist assists the Production Supervisor / Operations Manager by testing our various types of products to support monthly production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints and job instructions to accurately test electrical components including connectors and cable assemblies
  • Performs functional and performance tests on connector and cable products to ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards
  • Uses specialized testing equipment to conduct tests and collect data
  • Identifies issues found during testing and communicates to production supervisors
  • Collaborate with engineers or other team members to understand requirements, resolve technical problems, and improve test procedures
  • Adheres to sound manufacturing processes and safety standards
  • Drives Lean & 5S culture across responsible areas
  • Maintain accurate, counts and records of daily transactions of materials, Works-In-Progress, and finished goods through assigned areas, whether manually or electronically
  • Ability to understand basic and intermediate electrical principles
  • Experience with cable assemblies or high-level electronics preferred
  • Other duties as needed


Job Requirements



  • Operates testing equipment daily, ensuring production schedules are met
  • Identify issues from testing machine errors and test results, basic troubleshooting skills required
  • Keep management and supervisors aware of testing equipment needed to ensure operational capability
  • Facilitating the preparation of Works-In-Progress and finished goods for shipment with urgency in respect to delivery dates and shipping timelines
  • Capable of identifying parts and materials from specifications, drawings, or instructions
  • Work with peers and management to facilitate and ensure timely processing of parts and materials
  • Will work with all tools, gauges, precise measuring equipment, weighing equipment, and automated equipment necessary to complete tasks
  • Strong communication, Core Value commitment & excellent attendance
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Motivated self-starter, possesses abilities to work under general supervision
