Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Partner oversees a broad range of Human Resources services related to the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and referral of applicants for employment at all levels for the District. Establishes and maintains relationships with a variety of recruitment sources to enhance MATC's role as an employer of choice in the community as well as to assist with identification of diverse candidate pools. Work requires the use of independent judgment, working from broad institutional and divisional policies and general objectives.


Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities


Recruitment Planning and Stakeholder Engagement: Plans and organizes the processing of employment requisitions to ensure timely replacement of new and existing positions. Partners with hiring managers in the development of recruitment plans and strategies to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce for the organization. Leads sourcing and recruiting initiatives and processes to leverage networking efforts and generate diverse applicant referrals with strong qualifications. Works closely with the community and acts as ambassador for the recruitment goals and mission of the college. Attends career fairs/events to promote MATC as an employer of choice.


Recruitment Administration: Maintains accurate recruitment files and prepares reports including applicant flow, open positions, interviews, and test results. Responds to inquiries from employees and applicants on postings, interviewing, and other employment matters. Conducts audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Runs reports and analyzes data to inform targeted marketing/sourcing strategies to create more robust and diverse talent pools.


Selection Leadership: Screens employment application materials for minimum qualifications and refers applicants to departments for further screening and conducts interviews if requested. Coordinates interview committee schedules and communications with the interview committee. Arranges preparation of final disposition letters to unsuccessful applicants.


Ethics and Confidentiality: Practices honesty by demonstrating a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles, values, truthfulness and accuracy in all actions. Ensures that employees participating in the recruitment process understands and respects the integrity of the process and maintains confidentiality.


Collaborative Teamwork: Establishes, maintains, and enhances positive work relationships with staff, faculty, and administrators.


Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Maintains current knowledge of best practices and standards in higher education with an emphasis on community Colleges. Actively organizes and/or participates in applicable workgroups, trainings, workshops, seminars, committees and professional associations or conferences to promote continuous learning.


Other duties: Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.


Qualifications

Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.

Required Education & Experience: Associate's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Administrative Leadership, Public Administration or related field; Four (4) years of related occupational experience working in human resources including performing recruitment activities.

Preferred Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Administrative Leadership, Public Administration or related field; Two (2) years of related occupational experience working in human resources including performing recruitment activities.

Required Licensure/Certification: None.

Preferred Licensure/Certification: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRP-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and government regulations relevant to recruiting and employment.
  • Knowledge of designing and developing recruitment strategies, with particular focus on sourcing candidates of diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of organizing and processing large volumes of applications for employment for positions at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to devise, administer, score, interpret, and validate performance tests and screening instruments.
  • Ability to compile narrative and statistical reports and conduct research and write policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and explain policies, procedures, and written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written means.
  • Ability to establish, collaborate and maintain effective work relationships with peers, students, teachers, staff, representatives of outside agencies, educational institutions, and the general public.
  • Ability to convey an image of professionalism and dedication in work-related activities.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse student and employee populations.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and software specific to the position, including spreadsheets and the Internet.
  • Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision and serve in a leadership role to others.
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.

Supplemental Information

Start Date: This position supports the Human Resources department and is available to start on immediately.

Hours: This position is a full-time/part-time position and works, 40 hours per week, 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday). Hybrid work is available after training is completed.

Compensation: Salary pay rates are listed up to the midpoint of the range and placement is determined based on years of experience, internal salary equity, and a review of the applicant's employment and educational background as listed on the job application.
