Position Summary

The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be a significant contributor towards developing and building strategic finance capabilities and delivering financial insights across the organization. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President, Finance, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead annual long-range planning process in alignment with corporate strategy
  • Develop and manage company valuation models and scenario analysis to inform Executive Leadership of inflection point decisions and assumption sensitivities
  • Support cash runway analysis and capital formation strategy
  • Manage FP&A team in annual budgeting, mid-year forecasting, and reporting
  • Develop financial modeling and analytical support to provide insights for lifecycle management and portfolio decisions, including assumption sensitivities
  • Support quarterly and annual audit processes, including accruals and SOX documentation in coordination with broader Finance and Accounting teams
  • Support financial analysis of business development opportunities
  • Develop and implement net sales forecasting and management reporting cycles in partnership with the commercial organization
  • Support operational business needs and develop efficiencies within the Finance organization
  • Work closely with Executive Leadership to provide ad-hoc decision-making support

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; Master's degree in finance or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance leadership roles for both development and commercial-staged organizations within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience and understanding of financial valuation in the biotechnology industry
  • Broad experience in a publicly traded commercial biotechnology company environment

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.

General Salary Range: $240,000 to $260,000
