Education and Experience Requirement

Significant experience in industrial building maintenance, manufacturing equipment maintenance and pretreatment line maintenance, as well as supervisory or maintenance lead experience.

Skills Required


  • General knowledge to perform routine, extensive and preventative maintenance and upkeep on buildings, mechanical/pretreatment equipment and utility systems.
  • Working knowledge of environmental filings and requirements.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess operational requirements, to plan and organize work and schedules to assure continuous facilities/equipment operation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.

Minimum Job Requirements

* Physical- capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely, with assistance if necessary.

* Working Hours- fulltime

* Personal Traits- Good communication and leadership skills with positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow direction and or work independently, able to multi-task and trouble shoot. Punctuality and safe work habits.

* Knowledge- must understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and schematics. Working knowledge of how to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of mechanical, chemical and electrical industrial equipment as well as maintain industrial buildings.

Level of Responsibility and Authority

Timely completion of job functions. Prepare and order maintenance supply items, correspond with vendors as required. Be the facilities safety representative and file applicable OSHA reports. Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to assure facilities and equipment readiness.

Job Duties

* Design preventative maintenance schedules for all major equipment and building mechanicals and ensure that maintenance is kept current.

* Ensure that fire equipment, air compressors, etc. are properly inspected and have current permits.

* Ensure completion of daily, weekly and monthly check lists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled inspections of belts, fluid levels, replace filters, grease bearings, seals, etc., repair or replace broken parts.

* Update management weekly and as needed of current and future maintenance needs.

* Assure that at no time does machinery maintenance fall behind schedule.

* Inform management of any obstacles preventing timely completion of tasks.

* Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

* Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.

* Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.

* Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.

* Ensure cross departmental communication is accurate and effective.

* Maintain neat and clean work area.

* Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.

* Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
