The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. |
| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Analyst for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O).This role ensures that departmental business processes are identified and then translated into business requirements which must align within applicable
IWMS system configuration. Ultimately, the incumbent must ensure that departmental organizational and business goals are optimized in the system and enhance the end-user experience.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- The role elicits, documents, and evaluates departmental business processes, and potential solutions considering both business and technical feasibility.
- Additionally, the incumbent must ensure that solutions are tested through the User Acceptance Testing process, and must verify that solutions meet the defined requirements. This role must also work closely with IP&O MyPath Employee Training and Development during the knowledge transfer process allowing for the creation of training material development.
- Additionally, another critical component of this position is project management and serves in this capacity to ensure that all aspects of system configuration and implementation project management remain on track and on budget.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and a minimum of five years' experience in development of user requirements,

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT), software implementations, business process design and project management skills.
- Demonstrate expertise in Agile Methodology. Also requires excellent communication skills and computer literacy in industry standard software.
- This position demands strong analytical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication, and extensive experience in systems analysis.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including user stories, wireframes, process
diagrams, and presentations. - Expertise in tools like ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Visio, and advanced MS Excel.
