Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager - Pricing.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Manager of Pricing will oversee the Pricing team within Revenue Integrity at NYU Langone Health. In this leadership-facing role, the Senior Manager will develop, implement, and optimize pricing strategies to ensure accurate and timely billing, maximize revenue, and enhance financial performance. This position will lead a team of professionals, partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional departments, and stay current with industry trends to drive pricing excellence and strategic decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for hospital services, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, payer contracts, and industry standards. Analyze market trends and competitive pricing to optimize revenue generation.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Pricing Analysts as well as other RMI analysts as needed. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team skills and productivity. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Payer Contract Management: Collaborate with Office of Managed Care (OMC) teams to interpret and implement payer contracts. Ensure accurate application of contract terms and conditions to hospital services, maximizing reimbursement and minimizing denials.

Billing Accuracy: Oversee the pricing accuracy of medical services, diagnostic procedures, and other healthcare offerings. Implement protocols to identify and rectify pricing discrepancies, ensuring consistent and precise billing.

Revenue Optimization: Analyze revenue data, identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, and implement strategies to optimize pricing structures. Collaborate with HIM, fellow team members and coders to ensure accurate code assignment and charge capture.

Hospital Pricing Transparency (HPT) Oversight: Oversee all activities related to HPT regulations, ensuring the hospital complies with federal and state mandates for price transparency. Coordinate efforts to maintain up-to-date, publicly accessible pricing information, ensuring clarity for patients while optimizing compliance.

Compliance: Stay updated on healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and payer policies. Ensure hospital pricing practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Billing, HIM, Finance, Cost Accounting, Cost Report teams and Compliance departments to streamline processes, resolve pricing-related issues, and optimize revenue cycle operations.

Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing accuracy, revenue generation, and compliance. Generate regular reports, analyze trends, and present findings to senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field and /or a minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated, responsible experience in a Revenue Cycle department along with previous supervisory experience. Strong analytical, interpersonal and dynamic communication skills (verbal and written) and multi-site scope of services across the health system are required. Proven leadership skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in business administration or healthcare administration or related field; 5-7 years of demonstrated responsible experience in a managerial role of a Revenue Cycle Operations department. Action-oriented, with experience managing deadlines and strength across a broad range of technical skills. Epic experience. Extensive experience with managed care contracts and data analysis. Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practice. Excellent written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgement, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, customer service, analytical and problem solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $145,805.62 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
